Is anyone else having problems with the BAC RMA form being corrupted? I can't even open the document when they send it through Equator.  Does anyone know where / how to download an uncorrupted version?

I completed request for appraisal review.  The house is over priced based on the condition of the house.  We've shown it 20 times and buyers are buying other homes.  I sent in the request to my BOA SS Specialist and she has ignored my request.  I've emailed and left vmails for her with no reply.  I copied her manager on subsequent emails and still no reply.  Should I be sending the request for appraisal to my SS Specialist, or somewhere else?  Also, what's the process to request a new SS Specialist... one that responds?

Angel, That is correct. B of A will only talk to the seller and the seller's agent. However, be aware that it is common practice for B of A to miss multiple closing dates and each time the selling agent has to resubmit updated paperwork, so it is a vicious cycle. If you are in a winter climate, have your agent make sure the utilities are on (if homeowner has moved) or the property has been winterized. Patience is what you need at this point. Best of luck.

Hi Brad. Usually you must get the short sale closed within 60 days of receiving an approval with a standard short sale. If yo are within this time frame even if yo have already had 1 extension then you should be OK.

If it has been 60 days you may have an issue.

If you haven't already be sure to submit your request in writing and with a revised HUD, contract and buyer loan approval or commitment dated within the last few days.

Brad, your question is too vague. Whose extension, FHA, BofNY, Fannie Mae, etc? It could be how you phrased it, but if the closing officer talked it over w the manager and then denied the extension, that implies that it wasn't a rule, they just decided not to give you the extension.

Even if they have no right to be pinheads, it is always good to have a compelling reason for an extension. Seller had to prepare for a superbowl party he was giving? Hmm... not so good. If it is FHA, give HUD a call. Are you just hanging around delaying things, or do you have a good reason why it will close if you get an extension? Not FHA? try calling the office of the prez and pushing them to let you close now that XYZ has been fixed or whatever. You can also try tweeting to @BofA_Help. It seems like you need to be persuasive at this point. And, in your favor is that they had to discuss NOT giving you one, meaning they have the ability to give you one. So, make it easier for them to give you one than not. (Your closing officer, and manager, both need reasons to give their higher-ups why they let you drag this out - help them out. Give them good reasons to do as you ask.)

Does anybody have any tips on how to get a 2nd extension after 1 has already been issued? Our closing officer claims she already reviewed the file w/ her manager and denied another extension. We need it very badly. Thanks!

Who was the investor.  I have one now and Fannie Mae is the investor

Would depend on who the Investor is.
