@Wendy- I had a short sale lender decline a short sale once because the buyer insisted on a credit after inspections.
I'm not sticking up for Bank of America, Wendy, but I have to say that being on the listing end where I am constantly telling buyers: no repairs, no concessions, no renegotiations, only to have the buyer's agent come back after a home inspection and ask if I won't at least run a repair request past the bank, and I practically want to ring their necks. Because the answer is NO, nada, never, not in a million years.
You and B of A should already have on file a form that you can discuss the loan with them signed by the Sellers. I have filed on behalf of my Sellers and have not had a problem. You can fill out the form with the Sellers names address loan number and there is a drop down box to pick agent since you are representing them. B of A Customer service, is a place to escalate the issue also if you are getting no response. Negotiators have multiple files they are working on and sometimes you get put on the bottom of the pile, sometimes it takes a little nudge. Best of luck to you.
Jim, if you call the President's office at B of A they will give you the email address of your negotiator's manager. Then also as you call the President's office you can file a complaint with them to get some help to resolve the matter. Filing a complaint with CFPB is good you must have a letter signed by the borrower odn theloan asking the CFPB to investigate the matter. The letter must have the loan number, property address, signed and dated by the borrower or they will not act.
I would call the President's office each day until you get the matter resolved.
Good Luck
Whoa, I just had a Bank of America closing officer email me they would "KINDLY Decline my file" because I asked a question about a repair credit. WOW. New one on me. I had to KINDLY reply back that it was just a QUESTION and I apologized if my email had been misconstrued. WOW!!! I emailed back:
"Thank you for your quick and kind response!"
Thank you Helena!
Ann, that is a very interesting idea. I had not thought of that. Thanks very much!!
I would file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, https://help.consumerfinance.gov/app/account/complaints/list/. You will get a complaint number and can track your complaint there too. I found it helpful in a short sale that was really difficult. Best of luck to you.
