Does anyone know how long a VA appriasal is good for regarding the short sale lienholder? We are being told that since the va appraisal expires the end of this month we have to close by the 31st. We just went under contract and the buyer is FHA meaning no way we'll be able to move that fast.

Has anyone had luck with using the US Bank twitter team? I've left messages with every contact supplied on this site. Short sale close after a 10 month struggle. coopertive seller and buyer. Always a different response every time I called in. I talked to 2 very helpful reps, Renetta and Ryan who no one will transfer me to anymore. not a fannie or freddie loan. Foreclosure in 2 weeks= fun!

The hardship is financial and job relocation.  To avoid likely layoff and no income, the seller took employment in another state.  The children have both suffered extreme medical conditions requiring costly care.  They owe over 45,000 just in medical bills that are still coming in.

I believe she had something to do with the supervisor's supervisor calling me.  I will call tomorrow to see if the file is actually opened properly and ask for a timeline.  If I am not satisfied, I will phone again and then move higher.  I do not have confidence that things will move smoothly or in a timely fashion.  However, I will continue to contact until this file is closed, hopefully with a successful short sale.

The assigned rep said all the docs had to be in for a review to determine that.  It has taken this last last phone call to give the processor the order to close the file to loan mod (denied) and open the short sale "template".  So, I honestly do not know.

Mary Sebasko is a VP over Short Sales.  Her number is 314-209-6999.  If I do not see maintained forward movement, I think I will call her back as well as a complaint to the FDIC.  That sounds like a good suggestion.  Thx to all of you for your responses.
