@Sue - SSN and DOB are required fields at the time of submission of the offer!

What are some of the status' shown in Equator? I've been on the buyers side of Equator a few times but never on the listing side.  Current listing agent keeps telling me he's working it hard but it took him a month from contract ratification to asking us for partial social security numbers and date of births to enter into Equator.  I'd like to ask him what Equator says the current status is put wouldn't know if he's making stuff up.

Mark,

how exactly do you buy the note? How does it work?

Has anyone dealt with IMPAC as an investor with Bank of America?  We initiated the short sale thru Equator for HAFA and now we just got a denial letter that the investor does not participate in HAFA or Co-op program and they just cancelled the scheduled appraisal for HAFA.  We now have to proceed thru the traditional short sale route.  This stinks and I have never encountered this thru BofA before.

Has anyone been down this path and how has it worked out?

Thank you...

I am dealing with the same issue. Seller did receive approval to participate back in March and I'm on my second negotiator with little to no response. The seller credit will soon expire and the buyer is threatening to cancel. BOA is really slow and is now worst after they made the changes!

Can anyone help me with a FHA short sale that has been in the process since November 2011 !!

Agree w/Jeff. That's step 1. You have to have the SS to initiate...so your at the beginning. However if they had previous approval they might fast track the offer. Fast track isn't always much faster...30-120 I just had one that took 120 and my side/buyers side were super clean.... It was all my slow negotiator.

@Jeff  Thanks for the info. Our contract was ratified on May 2nd and this house has been under contract for over a year before us.  The current contract price was one that BoA had told the listing agent was acceptable but the previous buyer walked.  Is it possible he put the contract info into Equator back and year May and they just asked for the Socials and date of births or does this mean it took him a month to put it into Equator?  ;o(

Comment by Jeff Payne on June 13, 2012 at 6:44am

Sue Fitzhugh, that is just the beginning, the offer is being initiated in Equator.  best case 30 days, worst case 120 days.  if the listing agent performs the tasks quickly it will go pretty fast...
