Wendy, I had to smile. I am guilty of having a bad attitude! I naturally assumed Matt Vernon's job would be to maximize profits for BOA. You assumed it would be to help people. Your attitude is healthier.

I will work on my attitude; I just don't like BOA! They remind me of Regan's "Evil Empire".

the job would be OK as long as his hands weren't tied while trying to clean up the mess.  can you imagine how gratifying it would be to help millions of Americans - investors, homeowners, buyers & Realtors - by cleaning up a broken system?  can you imagine the before and after stats?  ok, time to stop dreaming and get back to work...

I cannot imagine a worse job.

Matt Vernon has already moved onto another position within BofA.  He cleaned-up their Loss Mitigation Dept and was selected to go onto a larger role within BofA.  Now there are two individuals responsible for each half of the USA (East of Mississippi and West of...)

I looked up who Matt Vernon is, I guess I'm behind:

Bank of America Home Loans names Matt Vernon short sale and REO executive

Matt Vernon, a 15-year veteran of the financial industry, has been named short sale and real estate-owned (REO) executive for Bank of America Home Loans, moving to the loan servicing division from roles in the bank’s residential mortgage origination business.

I found this to be an 'interesting' quote by Matt Vernon.

"I have a zero tolerance for our (people) not following up with our distressed homeowners or our Realtor partners in the field. We've instituted a policy that we must return inquiries within 48 hours," Vernon said, adding that his team members now include their supervisors' contact info on their e-mails."

I agree, these contacts should be used for real problems---where BofA messed up.  Otherwise, they will become useless to us.  Even with the Twitter.  The BofA staff who respond to the Twitter inquiries all work for the Office of the President.

Kevin & Wendy, How do I contact Brian's office?

Comment by Wendy Smith on February 17, 2011 at 9:22am
I haven't tried twittering BoA for help but I have had plenty of success with Brian Moynihan's office.  Be sure you have tried all other routes and have taken the necessary steps before contacting his office - if his office is abused with crank requests - the resource will dry up.
