Kevin  - Ask negotiator to "tickle" for response. I'm sure you have.  It does seem abnormally long!

Wendy,  I sent in my own BPO to dispute the appraisal, but am still waiting on those results after two months.   This seems abnormal to me for it to take this long for the results of the dispute to come back in from the VA, but that is what Wells Fargo is telling me....

Meanwhile about a month ago they placed they home on the court docket for foreclosure on 12-1-10 while still under going a ROV.

Kevin - I see, very cool for you!  What tactic did you use to dispute?

Wendy, The appraisal was done many months ago.  I've disputed it, but they are saying after over two months the results of the dispute are not back.

Kevin - That seems long.  No appraiser has been out to the property yet?
Comment by Kevin - Greenville, SC on January 12, 2011 at 6:35pm

Wendy,

I'm being told by Wells Fargo that - "The ROV is still outfor review as it was submitted on Nov 5, 2010 "

Is is normal for the VA to take this long? Or is Wells Fargo yanking my chain?

Thanks, Kevin

Dawn - You can add discussion to the thread at the top of the group.  I responded to your link, though.

Deb - I think she is confusing VA compromise sale with HAP (for military PCS) which states home must be marketed 120 days prior to submitting an offer. HAP does not hold to that, by the way. Two separate things.

I have a listing with a VA loan.  I feel reasonably certain that we  will be getting a contract in the next month or less.  This would be my first VA short sale.  A buyer's agent left a message today asking if the 120 day countdown had begun.  I've reviewed as much as possible about compromise sales and don't see anything about a 120 day countdown.

Can someone shed some light on this for me?
