Have attorney check...if no waiver says "not paid".  if it is a 1st and a freddie mac they don't put any deficiency language in one way or the other. Reason is to recover costs if fraud is found I believe.

Thank you Tara, she said she would have it extended 30 days, just holding my breath for an actual letter saying so. Let me ask you another question, on the short sale approval letter its states " paid in full" and i asked for it to say no  deficiency and was told that was exactly what that means and they would not change it. Whats your opinion on that?

Donna- i've done it before.  you need to get your loss mitigation person to extend it.  they have to submit to their supervisor to sign off.  I've gotten it extended the day before expected closing...took awhile of begging though.  just be persistent.  if  noone calls back keep calling and talk to supervisor, anyone.  be warned they may change number if new balance different.

Hi everyone, don't know what I would do without this group. I have an approval from Green Tree but it expires in a week and the 2nd BofA is dragging on accepting the settlement or not. What is the best way for me to request and extension on the deadline set by Green Tree? I don't see anything on their site that helps.

Thanks!

Does anyone have access to email list for negotiators at Green Tree?  I can't seem to reach the one assigned to my short sale via phone.    Imagine that!!

Acct manager has nothing to do with the short sale end of it. They are basically debt collectors from my experiance.

Looking for some advice.  The Account Manager for my client is now calling the homeowner saying he needs to speak to her.  He is the same person that convinced her to make her May payment, which according to the Account Manager, stopped the progress of the short sale.

I have submitted all the documents to GT and there is a negotiator assigned to the file. They say it is under review but I have not been able to contact and speak to the Negotiator as of yet.  Should the homeowner call the account manager to say "I have not money and I am short selling the house" ?  Does the account manager have that much control to let the file not move forward?

As of today, the borrower is actually only missed one payment, June.  However GT sent her notice that she is 2 months behind.

Any suggestions on how to proceed??

I am helping a client of mine with his loan mod through Green Tree. After a whole lot of unsuccessful calls I finally latched onto someone in the CORPORATE COMPLIANCE DEPT. who is helping. See if this helps anyone with your short sales. The office number is 800-839-9188 and the fax number is 866-210-6192. Either dial ext 62551 for Sherri Williams or ext 55297 for Doreen Beuninger. I think Sherri is the head of the department. I started with her first and have since been working with Doreen, who is nice *yes nice*. Hope this helps and please do not use my name.
