Awesome job Laurel. It's all about you staying on top of these negotiators as you consistantly do because it all works out in the end. You have your representatives that have a heart for humanity and those that left it on the dresser before leaving to work. I hope a quick approval follows. Congrats!

Hi guys - Good news!!!! It got postponed until December 2nd!! Needless to say, I am relieved beyond belief. My blood pressure has returned to normal.

I did not give up - I called over the weekend and called again this morning (sale was scheduled for today) and confirmed postponement today. Thank you all for your support. It's a jungle out here - but we have to keep on keepin' on....

Thanks, Jennie. It's about accountability. It is not only Tammie Tandy that dropped the ball, but Aurora for having such a broken system. It all hinges upon one person clicking "save file" and then "upload?" Really? My clients get a 7-year black cloud because this 10-second step was missed?

Aurora admits it! We have sent in the docs that Tammie apparently dropped and Aurora says they don't care. Doesn't matter. It wasn't within the 7 days of the sale - yet we were notified a mere 6 days that the foreclosure hold had been lifted. We are in a lose-lose catch 22.

All while this expose is going on all over the place. It's like getting spit in the face. This whole thing is such a colossal mess - and I hope the banks are held accountable for their shenanigans.

Laurel, that is horrifying. I feel so bad for your clients! I applaud you for including the negotiator's full name in your post. I think we've been reluctant to do that for fear of retaliation by the banks. I am beginning to believe, based on my own experience, that the only way to get through to the negotiators is to let them know that they will be held personally and publicly accountable for their participation in the senseless loss of money for their employers & investors, not to mention their impact on the homeowners and local housing market. I've got to believe that at least some of these folks are aware that the names of their colleagues, the "robo signers" are being made public. V-e-e-e-r-y public. And that being employed by a huge corporation does not give them immunity or anonymity.

I am sick. We submitted a short sale packet (complete, of course) in June 2010. Aurora asked for updated bank statements and a revised HUD on 9/28/10, and the rep, Tammie Tandy, told us to email them to her. We did. She did not image them into their system.

Because Tammie did not upload the documents into the system so that all of the reps could see them, a denial letter that was generated on 10/5/2010 and sent to my seller, unbeknown to us. He received it Tuesday, 10/12/2010. The foreclosure was on indefinite hold. We called in on the 13th and were informed the foreclosure would take place on the 18th.

We have begged and pleaded. We have sent in via fax and email ALL documents again. We are repeatedly told that because we are within 7 days of the foreclosure date, they will not postpone it. We have called at least 20 times, spoken with numerous supervisors. All of them say no.

I spoke w/ Angela, a rep, today who informed me that the net to Aurora is 90% of the BPO value - she said that was a great offer. Still, they won't postpone. Everyone - the investor, Aurora, seller, buyer and Realtors all have to go down with the ship on Monday - all because Tammie Tandy didn't image the documents into the system.

This is inhumane. If there is anyone out there who can help, please send comment or send me an email. We are willing to do everything we can, but have only 48 hours. Thanks - Laurel

Tonia -- you just need to "rattle some cages"...escalate your file up the food chain and you will be fine.

Do negotiators make mistakes....yes
Do negotiators LIE to get you off the phone....a RESOUNDING YES, particularly if you are "persistent" with them.

I would call back and speak to a Supervisor about your file.
if they will NOTput you in touch with one, call customer service and see if they will tell you the name of your negotiator's supervisor.

If that does not work, "accidentally" call the Human Resources Department or Accounting, and ask them (they are NOT trained to say "no" when asked this quesiton)

Whatever you do:

DON'T QUIT....Your Client Is Counting On You!!!

Is there any way to reach Aurora underwriter directly? I was sent a denial letter regarding my hafa short sale approval. They stated that we do not meet the program guidelines and parameters. Our case is based on medical and financial hardship. We meet every single requirement for a hafa short sale. I need to know why that decision was made. Do they ever change their decision? I'm so upset&confused!
