I was told 8 days ago that the s/s I've had an offer on since 8/09 was with the 'evaluations team' and I'd have an answer by the first of this week.  It's now Friday...no answer (surprise, surprise).  I called the seller's agent today and he said that the reason it may be taking so long is the bank will have a substantial loss with this sale, approximately half of what is owed.  That's the market here though, unfortunately, and every day that passes the house loses value, gets in further disrepair etc.

So my question is "has anyone had any answers from B of A on a weekend?  Or do they leave early Friday afternoon for O beer 30 and leave us all hanging during the weekend?'

Thanks for your responses!

As of a few weeks ago they started working on Saturdays because of the back log they have over there. Ask the listing agent to keep track of the due dates on the tasks and what the task is. If the task is past due an escalation to the negotiator's team leader can be done. I have done this many times an it tends to keep the files moving along.

I closed a short sale last week that we initiated back in August. Before Equator had been launched and half way thru had to start over again because of the switch.

I have a contact for one of the top executives at the short sale dept. Email me at [email protected] and I will give you that contact. He helped me with a case this week, just explain the situation to him and ask him to look into it.
I have had a call from a BofA negotiator on the weekend - and that was over a month ago. It's probably not common, but does happen.

Good luck!
Thanks for your responses!! I've been carrying my phone around 24/7 for the past 3 weeks hoping to hear an acceptance, after 7 months of waiting. I'm just eager to get on with my life and feel like I'm in a holding pattern until we can close on this house. I'm starting my Masters program in June plus continuing to work full-time, I really won't have a lot of time to move and close escrow once that gets going I'd like to get settled before then!
So I guess my phone stays by my side this weekend as well! Hopefully I'll hear good news soon...
I had Bank of America call me last Sunday at 8:30 pm Eastern time on Sunday. You just never know when the negotiator is working. I've learned to recognize their numbers.
I have received responses from BOA over the weekend (only on Saturdays, though). Good Luck!
