I am a Certified Short-Sale Professional, Certified Distressed Property Expert and an SFR (Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource Certified)and have been doing short sales for approximately 4 year. I love listing and negotiating short sales, it's very time consuming and takes a great deal of negotiating skill. Please be wary of anyone stating they have been doing short sales for 20 years....Short sales had been around in the late 80's early 90's and then gone until around 2005 /06 when the market was starting to change and unemployment began slowly affecting homeowners as well as loans re-casting. Negotiating short sales isn't for everyone it's an art, it takes time, patience and due dilligence on our part. You either love it or hate it, but which ever it is make sure you are doing the best job possible for your clients.
