Anyone have any contacts at WaMu/Chase? We previously had an approval on a second and we had to resubmit because the approval from the first didn't come quick enough. Now we've resubmitted and every time we call we get a different story but nothing is happening.

Thanks for the clarification. In dealing with cases like this in the past the new REO agent has already been picked. Off hand, I think the WAMU listings I worked with in the past were through REO World asset management, maybe First American REO. But with the change over to Chase it is a good question where it went.

Your situation would be the exception to the rule. They normally won't talk to a buyer direct but a knowledgeable buyer agent...

Steele:

I am a REALTOR and have an REO company in Myrtle Beach -- I had a short sale offer that the listing agent keep saying it would be pulled from the Foreclosure Sale -- It was not and has now gone back to Wamu --

We have successfully negotiated with Wachovia and BOA's OREO or special asset division to buy property they have recently taken back (before hitting the market with a listing agent).

I really was just hoping that someone had a good number for a REO contact with Wamu -- Since the change over to Chase I have struggled to make contact with their special assets division.. Figured was a long shot but worth a try..

Thanks again!

Jason,

Explain your situation. You are a potential buyer? The former seller?

The bank will not deal with you direct as a buyer. You will have to go through their listing agent. At best they will usually only send you to that person.

Maybe give us some more details on what you are trying to accomplish. I am a long time REO listing agent.as are others here.

Home just foreclosed on -- Listing agent was useless -- I want to try and make a deal directly with Wamu -- Does anyone have a decent REO department contact number? Thanks

In Nevada now we have a medition law. We had to take Chase to that level ,and once in the meeting they approved the short sale in 10 mins, after 9 months of unanswered phone calls and fax. They have beat out BOA hands down on the worse in short sales.

and yes, I even addressed my email to the attn of Jamie Dimon, CEO Chase. I screamed of how bad the service was, and still nothing.

The proper # to call Chase's executive office is (800) 242-7399, and they will only allow you to email them requesting someone to contact you regarding a charged off loan to: executive.office@chase.com.

I already did so back on 11-16-2009, and here it is 2-4-2010 after I sold the home a 5th time - I really doubt there will ever be a reply.

Also, the old WaMu loan # and borrower's SSN are not recognized, so don't bother calling the CHASE 1-800-848-9136. When not found, it hangs up on you after the 3rd entry.

I had the same situation as Anna. It was charged off and with the recovery department. They located it with the Seller's social security number.
