My basic question is, would OCWEN approve a short sale on a house that has been vacant for 9 years? It was a single family primary residence before the owners defaulted in 2007 and moved out in 2009.…Continue

Offer was denied, said it was too low. OCWEN refused to counter, said we could give a new offer. Any idea how long this negotiation process is or how willing they are to work with you?
Does anyone have a number for Joanne Perez? The number I have on her email signature doesnt go through 407-737-5691 is the number I have.
Thanks for the info for Kathleen's office. I needed some emergency help and I emailed her office and someone called me within a few hours. We still aren't ready to close but at least things are moving again.
Joanne does it again! She really got the ball rolling on Wednesday. Today, we got approval of the offer. There are a lot of bad things to be said about OCWEN and the games they play. Joanne Perez and the rest of Kathleen's office really help restore a little faith. If you find yourself in a desperate situation, I would contact her in a heartbeat. Good luck to all of you short salers in the future.
I must tell you that in dealing with Ocwen I was about to put a gun to my head and end it all. I have made a career out of dealing with them. I agree with the others that this is the worst run servicer out there (running head to head with MetLife). Thank God for Short Sale Superstars and the contact info for Kathleen Robinson because she immediately got someone to call me to solve all my problems!! Hats off to Kathleen and to Short Sale Superstars!!!!
Joanne Perez is still working with Ocwen as of 6/21/12. Just got off the phone with her. Here is her email address: [email protected]. Does any one know what her actual position is? I am trusting her to postpone an auction for me and get a new approval letter. I have spoke to everyone from the senior attorney to the investor on this file and the file is now in her hands and I am waiting. I just want to know what type of authority she has. Thanks!
Hi All,
I have e-mailed everyone under the sun to include Ron and Kathleen, and every other e-mail I can find on this site. My realtor, and I can't get anywhere! Is there a direct number to get a hold of Kathleen other than the answer machine that picks up? Or a direct line to someone in the U.S., other than in Houston. My "Short Sale Negotiator" Sunil Jain, hasn't help much as his english is horrible and yes is in India. I can't even reach him than by e-mail and refuses to respond. I'm on the 7th month of this short sale. We are also doing a HAFA short sale, and I get no response.
Does any one know if Joanne Perez is still working/available to help with files? We have a file that is being sold to Ocwen from BofA & I want to make sure I have my ducks in a row before we have an offer in hand. Joanne helped me on 2 previous files & was a TOTAL gem!
HELP! Have an approval from OCWEN to pay 2nd lien $3K however 2nd is collection company. The 2nd lien has approved $8K and no less than that. I was able to get the remaining $5K from a combination of the buyer, buyer's agent and myself. OCWEN says they won't approve it and said once again the very most the 2nd can get is $3K. I don't understand why it matters to OCWEN when the funds aren't coming from the seller or an increased sales price. Their net is the same. I tried calling Kathleen mentioned above and she won't accept calls from agents. Any helpful ideas would be great...........escalation tools would be even more helpful. We were suppose to close on Monday but are now shooting for next Friday close.
Ok, seriously, Ocwen is the worst RUN servicer. They can perform "on occassion" but I called this morning to be told Joanne was no longer with them. So I go on to some of my other contacts to find out WHAT is going on with my file only to have Joanne email me about 4 hours later after I left her numerous emails and phone calls. Go figure. I notified her she no longer worked for them...LOL..I hope she has a good sense of humor.
