Brian, the way I read it - it was either/or. $250 for "basic" membership, $450 if you wanted to "upgrade". Either way, I'm just getting sick of ALWAYS being the one who has to make the "investent".

The email from Excellen stated that : Excellen REO has indicated that AMP agents will receive assignment priority.

So total payments should be as below if you want your best chance for a listing.

$ 250 for Listing Membership Access
$ 450 for Accelerated Management Platform (AMP)

$700?

Guys - HRC here in Austin Tx, and I also received both emails. The one from Excellen just last night. Very hesitant to spend $700 for the "chance" to get listings. But would be well worth the investment even if I received one.

Kent - I just talked to my friend who does assignments for T at the other brokerage. She said that she got both emails too. The second one came yesterday.

Laurel, two minute rule applies here - respectfully of course! We are talking about getting REO assignments from Titanium via their new Excellen startup. RES.NET would be the application platform facilitating logistics.

How can a bank "assign" an asset that isn't their's to assign? Let's clear up any misunderstanding to anyone who may be reading this - banks do not own short sales. The term "assign" is an REO term, and should not be used with short sales. Banks cannot force or require that anyone use a listing agent. In an REO, assets get assigned and Realtors get hired by the bank.

Perhaps you mean "refer." That's a whole different ballgame. No slam-dunk there. It's the seller's choice on who to use. Realtors also can't forget to whom they owe a fiduciary duty. It's their seller, not their "meal ticket" should Titanium be successful in their referral business.

Just my opinion - get "back to basics" and be there for your farm, through thick and thin. Paying $$ to take a short cut that really leads you back to the exact same place is not productive in my opinion.

Why try and reinvent yourself 100 times? Keep doing whatever you did to get business before this market changed, do it during the turbulence and keep doing it after this whole thing blows over. Longevity marketing will reap far more rewards than trying to buy leads to homeowners who don't answer their phone nor their door.

Seems to me Res.net sent out the email to all Titanium Reps hoping to have everyone sign up in hopes of getting on with Excellen...

Kent, Maybe you're doing such a great job as an HRC that they really really want you to sign up as an REO listing agent ... or there could be a disconnect between res.net and Titanium :)
Comment by Kent Dills on January 28, 2010 at 10:01am
Well, there still somes to be a disconnect. Maybe it's on the Titanium side. I received the email questionaire, but never filled it out. My intention was to communicate my not wanting REO assignments. But, I still received the RES.NET signup email. I can only assume Titanium send out both emails to the same group regardless if the questionaire was completed or not.
