The digital signature shows the "intent" of the signer....if they continue with the transaction that confirms that the digital signature is valid. Digital won't work for a loan or a conveyance....but what the heck! BTW: I am actually providing "live signatures" on my iPad...the ap cost $2,99!!!
YES, OCWEN does allow E-SIGN on all docs, except closing docs.Bob
I have a short sale with Ocwen and yes they allow electronic signatures according to the discussion I had with them this last week.
Thank you Bob for the timely post. I understood OCWEN did accept DocUsign Esignature but a colleague told me I was wrong. Funny, I called OCWEN and the Customer Service rep said "Yes". Then I transferred to Short Sale Department to see why my colleague was told we must use "wet" signature. That person said "Yes, you can do Esignature" but he put me on hold and came back and said "Sorry, we don not accept Esignatures" ....
Daily mantra.........I love doing Short Sales, I love doing Short Sales-I love doing Short Sales
keep in mind just because one person said yes it may come back in an audit that wet signatures are needed. one time you may get them though another time you may not. it just depends on who is reviewing the file at all stages. you could get to the closer and the closer rejects.
Good thing to point out
