I just took a short sale listing and Countrywide was the former lender.  B of A is servicing this now.  The seller already filed BK and it has been discharged.  I have the green light from the BK trustee to move forward with this short sale.  My question is:  There is a sale date sch'd for May 25 and I will obviously need to get this postponed.  I will have an offer to submit by Monday.  With the delays of Equator, how should I go about getting the sale date postponed?  Any ideas?

Thanks for your comments!

shoot me an e-mail and I will get you a GREAT contact at B of A....no guarantees, but, IF IT CAN BE STOPPED, my girl can get it done or tell you who to [email protected]
The negotiator has to do that. If you can't get her/him, call and ask for the team leader, if you don't get the team leader (they have 48 hrs to respond) but the next day call the call center and ask for the supervisior (don't take no for an answer and stay on the line until you get him/her). I have one set for foreclosure on the 19th of this month and since we are "negotiating" (use that term loosly) the negotiator has already asked for a 30 day extension....I found this out by speaking to the supervisor not the call center employee.
Yes...send offer to the Trustee!!!! I have delayed Auction 6 times doing this!!! You must have a fully agreed upon offer!

Good Luck Let me know how it goes!
Who can you ask for? I was told I have to have a written complaint before anyone will speak to me. I called 1800-801-4860 and they gave me a fax of 805 520-5019
Laurie, I had my client call the 1- 704-386-5681 number somebody gave us and the number is for stock investors. She did speak to a customer service rep Carlos who then tried to pass her on to the negotiator ....until she told him her problem. He attempted to get AshleyJoseph (the negotiator) on the line, but she was not available. He did leave her an email to contract my Seller. She also said that last week the negotiator tried to call her several times and my client returned her calls, but that they keep missing eachother. So, :-) the negotiator is calling my client back but not me....that is definitely comical.

Laurie,
How are you supposed to submit a complaint? Via that fax number? Is there a form?

Barbara, see my email to Laurie. My client (Seller) called that number and the negotiator (Ashley Joseph) and she has been playing phone tag (much to my total surprise). The negotiator won't call me back, but because my Seller called that number you gave us and after she explained her problem to Carlos, he sent the negotiator an email asking her to call my Seller .... and she has actually been getting calls from her. I really don't care now which way I get someone to pay attention. Today is not a good day to call Equator.com (it's Monday) I have been on hold three times for 30 minutes each and still no answer. :-) Just see the humor in this.

If you send “everything” in on Equator and make a comment in the note section you may be able to pull it off. Make sure you have all of your files in separate PDF format ready to be uploaded. And, remember, they want the SS and the D.O.B. of your buyer entered into their system “before” you pass go.

Good luck.

I used the number Barbara listed and it worked great. i got a live person, they wrote up the complaint and sent it to the executive short sale department. " Reply by Barbara A. Hill 1 day ago
