I thought you guys may find this a bit interesting. I wanted to start "recording" my conversations with short sale negotiators for training purposes. Sound familiar? So, I got a call from a Chase negotiator and he gave me the whole commentary regarding trying to collect a debt, blah blah, and when he got to the part regarding the fact he was taping the call for "traning purposes", I kindly admitted I would be recording the call as well and hit a button on my system to start recording which announced it was being recorded. He abruptly told me they don't allow calls to be recorded....
Uhhh huhhh!!

Hilarious!
I've started adding that to my letter of authorization, "calls may be recorded by either party".
Too funny...
I had a negotiator call me and rip me a new one, cursing at me, calling me some nasty names and reading me the riot act. I could not get a word in anywhere. When he was done I said "Just so you know, I did not get a chance to tell you that this call is being recorded for training purposes" He changed his tune very quickly and became very helpful to me and approved my short sale. Of course I was not recording anything
Jeff, your post made my day.
