Hopefully this isn't in regards to a sale date because we have never seen Carrington Mortgage Postpone a FCL sale date. I would not say this is a good contact, but it is worth a try. [email protected]

Did you have any luck with Carrington? I have a situation and a foreclosure date and I am just starting the process now.  A 71 year old man who lost his wife to cancer and is being kicked out of his home.  So sad.

       Carrington can get short sales approved fairly quickly. Just ensure it closes before the sale date as they will not request a postponement. What state are you in?

I'm in Maryland Brett.  I haven't even done the listing agreement yet.  The sellers 9 month pregnant daughter called me tonight to tell me she opened a letter and it had a March 11th foreclosure date.  They have 16 days before she and her 71 yo dad get kicked out.  

How will they work if I get an offer before the foreclosure date but they can't close by then?

     From my experience even if you get the short sale approved you will need to close prior to the sale date.

The only way I can see you can accomplish this is to get a cash offer to close before the Auction Date.  I am dealing with one right now where we had 3 weeks, got it on the market and got a cash offer on it right away.  The negotiator pushed through and gotten us an approval letter within 24 hours, I wasn't aware of an Interior BPO or an Appraisal was done prior to the Approval Letter, I think they based their value on an Exterior BPO.  We are currently waiting to close before the Auction Date of 03/08.  Oh, and the investor on the loan was none other than... Carrington themselves :)

Carrington DOES postpone a foreclosure sale date and I had this done on one of my short sales recently. Frankly, I can't even believe I got it done.......but NOT giving up and being doggedly persistent helped.

My seller had a 1st with Citi, 2nd with Chase. We got approval from Citi and 24 hours later, negotiator stated...unless the buyer is all cash, there is nothing Citi can do...we would just have to wait and start over with Carrington, who the loan was sold to.... We were alittle over 30 days away.....she did say, to look for the welcome letter from Citi stating what date the Carrington servicing would start, etc... and look for the Carrington welcome letter.

I immediately called Carrington and got the right guy in the right department on the phone. Told him our story, he punched in all the information and I sent him the entire package...everything. Now all he needed was the Carrington LOAN # which would be on the welcome letter for it to be the LEGAL date on the letter that Carrington would be viewed as the new servicer of the loan.  2 wks before the date of Carrington becoming the new servicer, the letter finally came in and I gave him the Carrington loan #.  Once I saw the letter, my seller received a notice the same day tacked on her door from their trustee company stating it was being SOLD at auction 4 days AFTER Carrington was becoming the NEW SERVICER.

I knew the Ca penal codes etc and contacted their trustees and attorneys in their trustee departments, etc...and went to upper management...etc... and what was worse? Two of the 4 days that THEY became the legal servicer was a sat and sunday, so actually only MONDAY and TUES of that wk were the only 2 days I could DO anything about it.

On mon am, one of their head guys talked to ...so we finaggled back and forth on price, came to a resolution and then they confirmed the trustee sale was postponed and sent me approval letter that day. So I literally got approval in 8 hours.... I DON"T EVER want to go thru something like THAT AGAIN... but I was grateful and we closed ahead of time, so WHEW...miracles DO happen! Don't give up....

Now  I LUV to work with Carrington....
