does anyone have any idea where I start getting a correction? Over two years ago I completed a Short Sale with Aurora (no small task) and now my client has discovered that Aurora reported it as a FORECLOSURE. Credit Reporting agencies want a letter from Aurora or a contact person to verify our position (even after we sent the Certified HUD 1 and signed Approval). Aurora is not doing Home Loans according to their recording and all contacts I have don't appear to work there anymore. Ideas?

I never heard of a credit agency not acknowledging a HUD 1 settlement statement.  I would holler louder and get a hold of a supervisor at the credit agency.  The three major credit bureaus should acknowledge the HUD.  I had a client that had the same issue and the HUD was sufficient "proof" and they reported it correctly.

you do understand that if a foreclosure reaches a certain point, such as a judgement, that it is considered a foreclosure and reported as such regardless of whether the property is sold? Ince there is a judgement, there is a foreclosure.
