One Spouse on Mortgage - Both on Title

If one spouse is on the mortgage, and both are on title, do both have to fill out the hardship, or only the spouse on the mortgage?

Thanks,

Bill

Should the non-borrowing spouse be quick claimed off the deed?  Does that really matter?

Thanks Bryant, that was what I was thinking, so I had asked the spouse to furnish his financial information since the wife is a home maker. I appreciate your response.

Hi Bill, Only the person on the loan goes through the short sale process. All owners have to agree to the sale and sign closing docs. However some lenders will take into consideration family income when it comes to deciding whether or not the borrower will need to contribute to the loss.
