Interior BPO when property is not a short sale

I have a property that is in the foreclosure process in Florida. Sellers served with docs in Oct.2012. Waiting for mediation. Loan Modification failed. Received email from realtor today requesting to gain access to property for interior BPO. Property is not on short sale yet. Has anyone been getting these requests? A mediation appt has not been set. Want to know if this is legit or not.

Thanks

Before a property is listed, it is common for the listing agent to do an interior inspection. In order to set the correct listing price, the listing agent will need to inspect the interior. Once the inspection is complete, the agent will prepare the BPO. From there the lender will have a better idea of how underwater the loan is compared to the current market value. Your best option right now is to grant the inspection.
