Wow... that makes me appreciate the US bank file I have that is 3 months in (we just got approval):( That sounds strange! Is there MI?
I have a SS package with US Bank that is now going into its 6th month. We had the file closed 3 times now each time reopening because we were able to identify key issues with each closure reason. US bank fast tracked this into "underwriting" and now underwriter asked for a $75k contribution from seller which is Enough to make up the deficiency. So it's a contribution to give US Bank all the monies they would lose on the SS but this will give us the pleasure of a short sale. Sounds nuts to me. This is also a Freddie Mac SS investor. Am I losing something in the translation? Why didn't US Bank just decline versus asking us to have the whole thing paid but take it as a SS once paid off in full? I'm confused
Thanks Kevin! I wanted to be sure. That's what I was told.
No, A HAMP review is required first.
Has anyone completed a HAFA Short Sale with US Bank without the borrower applying for HAMP first?
@Sarah, just use the company's tax id number, they just want a number they can verify, it's sort of like a password.
Pamela,
No later than October 15, 2011, each servicer must complete and post its HAFA Matrix to its website and provide Fannie Mae, as the Program Administrator, with the web address where the completed matrix can be located. Treasury will identify to the public the web location of each servicer’s HAFA Matrix on MakingHomeAffordable.gov.
Sarah, Yes and Yes.
Has anyone been told you have to have YOUR Social security on LOA to verify you can speak with them???? That is nuts!
The US Bank HAFA Matrix is old. Does anyone have a good Matrix with the new guidelines. Also, I have an old documents that compares standard HAFA with the Freddic Mac and Fannie Mae HAFA guidelines; however it is out of date. If anyone has something like this, I would really appreciate it! Thanks
