How hard should I try to reach out to the Chase Negotiator? I am trying to sell an investment property short through Chase. The house has been on the market for 2+ months. This is the second time I have tried to sell short. First time my Realtor was not well versed in the world of short sales and I had no clue as well. This time around I am with a firm that has completed a number of shorts. A Negotiator was assigned from Chase when they thought I was trying to do a Deed in Lieu. After speaking with the Negotiator about a short and not a Deed in Lieu I was told just to make sure I get all the paperwork in for review. Should I reach out to the Negotiator with any updates? or just wait until we have an offer? The Negotiator does not answer her phone and normally has a full mail box. Has any dealt with a Zoe at Chase? Thanks..

you need to escalate and go over your negotiator's head.....get it done...fight for your client (and your commission)....whatever it takes to get it done!!!

While it is troubling that your negotiator's mailbox is always full, it is not uncommon for many of them to never answer their phone. They screen calls to see who is calling and what they want. If they didn't do this to some extent they wouldn't have much time to actually work on short sales.

Even if she did answer her phone, there is nothing for you to talk to her about until you get an offer. Having an offer is really what actually starts the short sale process.
