Here is a response I
received from the Short Sale negotiator regarding the status of the Short sale file:

I am sorry but there is no word yet. The HUD system is still down and we
are not getting answers on anything.

I will let everyone know as soon as I hear anything more.

This has been going on for awhile.  Any enlightenment on this.  We are in last stages of supposed acceptance of a buyers offer.

Kinda new to BofA? ;-)

Lots of stuff used to go down all the time. Things still do. When I don't have the time, I listen to them, when I do, I just call again, end up in a different call center and their stuff is up. Never heard of a HUD system, but reps say different things. There is iportal, the end-all-be-all DB for BofA, and then the equator stuff, and about 3 individual systems that the rep usually uses, and, of course, the rep's PC can die. Top that with a new rep and anything can be said or done.... call back in.
We have escalated to the supervisor and awaiting reply. I know about the other systems and familiar with Equator but this is an FHA and it doesn't go into equator. So have no idea what he is talking about. thanks for the reply but we to felt it needed to go higher since we weren't getting answers.

Hm.. That's nutz - to go on for a while like that? No, I don't recall hitting such a thing with any of my VA or FHA accts.

If you reach "that point", you can send your message to John Ciresi - that info is floating around here and I've used him successfully on 2 or 3 accounts and not at all successfully on 2 accounts. He apparently has a team which will dive into problems - which he did for me. You send him a very simple form - the info, a short writeup of the problem and then what you want him to do.
Sounds like the typical bank run around to me...

If an offer is over 60 days old, the best thing I have found is to call HUD and file a grievance on the bank....HUD will involved to help get it done at the bank (at least they did in my situation). We had a foreclosure sale date already scheduled due to the bank "delays" and our HUD caseworker got me an approval from the bank in less that 24 hours...Call HUD and get a case worker. It's the only thing that helped me with Flagstar bank, and it should work with B of A also.

Good luck.
