I have a short sale where Sun Trust is the servicing company and Wells Fargo is the investor. Our short sale did not close on time, which was December 2nd. We had asked for our 2nd extension thru December 16th. Wells Fargo denied our extension and Sun Trust closed the file. We now have our loan locked and the CD will come out tomorrow. We could actually close in 5 business days. Sun Trust is telling us we have to resubmit and start all over. HELP! Does anyone know of someone who can intervene on our behalf.

Is there a sale date on the home? How long was the transaction approved for? Are they going to be ordering a new value? Did the agent show proof of loan approval to the servicer?
Was it a hard close or just a soft close? If it's a soft close it can likely get back to approval quick if no value is needed. Hard close is another story.
