Has anyone else heard of this?  Does anyone know where one can get more information?

I've heard about this but cannot find any verification aside from anecdotes from other agents (which I don't buy) ... also Short Sale Network claims to be offering Fannie Mae direct assignments .... which I also think is a farce as well, there is nothing out there indicating Fannie Mae is assigning short sales.

If someone has anything to say otherwise I am happy to recant my statement.

I know an agent who became a preferred agent for Chase. He got his intro by feeding pre-quals and leads to a local Chase mortgage lender, then once he had credibility, he made a presentation to him "I want to be a preferred agent for Chase; will you to assist in that effort?" It worked.

Mike Wells sent me an invitation to become one of their preferred agents via email. I filled it out online and haven't heard anything about it since.  I'd got to their site and see if you can find it - or maybe the short sale page.

Anna,

Can you message me the email address for Wells Fargo contact?

thanks

Marty

Anna "Banana": I love your nick name and I'm envious.

Thanks Michael - it's worked well for many years!

Marty I'm on my way out right now - will find the email and post it later.

I looked into the a few months ago and contacted Chase.  They had a representative contact me and I was intereviewed over the phone.  Since I passed the initial interview, they set up a meeting with the representative and one of their local loan officers.  I was told that I had to refer clients to them and after they closed some loans, I would be considered one to become one of their referring short sale agents.  However, since the program was in it's infancy stages, they couldn't guarantee anything.  They didn't even have the program set up yet.  During the meeting, they asked me what my expectations were with their loan officer.  I said that communication and response were at the top of my list.  After the meeting, I sent them both a thank you email and it took the representative over a week to respond and the loan officer about 5 weeks.  Honestly, I don't like the way that Chase does business, and am not comfortable sending anyone to them.  The whole thing didn't feel right so I won't be participating.
