Mortgage Insurance wants either $15,000 over 3 years or $7500 lump sum to close on Short Sale

I am currently in a short sale with Green Tree in Florida. They are asking for $7500 lump sum or $15000 promissary note over 3 years. Is there a way to talk them down? I really have no money at all to give them. Can anyone give me advice on how to approach the situation?

I have dealt with them on several occasions and they are very difficult and very rude.  I have not been able to get them down on any of the short sales I worked on.  I was even given one figure from the negotiator and then she sent another figure on the approval letter.  When I went to her and then her supervisor and one above him nobody wanted to hear it and defended her said I was wrong and must have written down the wrong amount.  I told them they needed go go back and listen to her calls and gave them the date because the calls are monitored and I was told they are not wasting their time either send the payment they gave me then or they would decline the file and have a good day.

Were you able to talk them down on this 2nd with MI where they were demanding the 7,500 cash and 15k promissory note? We are in the exact same situation almost to the dollar!!!  ...very sad without going into details.  If you did end up accepting that did  you  get the approval in writing from GT and could I please please get a copy of it...does it waive the deficiency judgement (is it a full release) or does anyone know if they offer a letter on loans where a promissory note is involved that provides for a full release....?

Any guidance is greatly appreciated,
