Hey Short Sale Superstars, Let's clean up some of our discussions

Lately there have been some heated discussions here on SSS and that is a good thing.  Some of them are veering far off track and some are starting to get personal.  Let's reel it back in and stay on topic with these discussions.

Everyone is here to learn and to contribute and not to argue or advertise.  While I really appreciate and love the passion of short sale agents, it can easily get out of hand.  I admit to typing before thinking too many times too!!!

Keep the great discussions going but keep it on topic and keep it professional.  No need to take shots at each other if we disagree.  Let's respect each others opinions and understand that we can disagree without being disagreeable :)

As the moderator I try to let the members work things out but from now on I am going to have my "smite" button warmed up and ready.  (Not sure where the smite button is but it sounds cool when Bryant says it)

I think I essentially always agree with you, Jeff, btw.

Managing a successful short sale is hard, and often absurdly hard.

Basically, three areas of expertise are needed: Real Estate, Loan Servicing, and Legal/Compliance.

A person with a strong background in one of these areas can acquire the needed expertise in the other areas.

Meaning, a Realtor, Attorney, or Lending professional can be effective at short-sales.  But, you gotta be personally deeply engaged and willing to do a ton of process management.  No getting away from that.

Thanks Michael.  I agree with you, a short sale needs some special attention and as long as the person working the short sale has the intention to give it the attention it needs, quite simply anyone can make it happen.  There is not alot of rocket science, it is more of a math problem.  Get the bank what they are expecting as far as a package and the right value and the majority of your problems are solved.

I have no problem working short sales, they are a process that requires a system just like anything else.

Here you go Jeff. Just for you :)

Nice!   I now can give official warnings :)

It would be fun to use that when conversations start going south. just post the image as a warning. I like it!!

Good Idea!
