Arghhh! Ocwen is driving me crazy- escalation phone number anyone?

Hello Folks-

Any suggestions on what to do here?  I have submitted a valid short sale package, Ocwen told me that if we changed the amount going to the junior lien holder to 6k they would approve it.  Low and behold, I negotiate with the junior lien holder for 6k, turn in a new HUD, and it gets denied!  They've blown off TWO scheduled calls with me and last time I was on the phone for about 45 minutes (on hold) and then the line cut off.  Our buyer is about to walk, and I truely don't think we're going to get a better offer.  I have GOT to speak with someone that has some sense.  Any suggestions, please please please?!

Much appreciated,

Kate,

I'm having the same problem with Ocwen.  I received an approval letter from Ocwen offering the 2nd lien holder $3K. The 2nd wants $7,500, so I sent an updated HUD.  Ocwen now said they could only approve $6K to the 2nd, so I sent them another revised HUD with $6K to the 2nd. I've received rejection letters and cannot determine what they're rejecting.  No one can answer simple questions and they've now said they will have a representative call me on 12/23/11.  I have called/emailed/faxed Joanne Perez at Ocwen, but have gotten no response. I've left messages for Ron Ferris, Ocwen EVP, but have gotten no response. I called an Ocwen Ombudsman, Chris, at 800.390.4656.  He said they are the highest point of contact when there are issues with Ocwen. He assures me I'll have a call back within 24-48 hours.

The Ombudsman for Ocwen is amazing and gets things done quickly. I highly recommend that anyone who is having difficulty with Ocwen give them a call 800.390.4656. I had great success with this.

paula,  what is a Ombudsman?  once you talked to them, did they get you to closing?  thanks for sharing.

Ocwen's Ombudsman is a consumer advocate, they'll work with you to get issues resolved. Give them a call, they are super to work with.  The first time I called them, they put me in touch with someone who got me an approval.  I would call and email them: [email protected]    Phone: 800-390-4656.

Excellent info Paula. I just added the info to the group.

Hi Bryant.

Please add my contact information for Ocwen. As the Senior Manager for Short Sales, escalations (whether to Ron Faris or to our Office of the Ombudsman) will be forwarded to my Escalation Specialists Team. One of the things we just implemented is a dedicated email box for final HUD approvals. HUDs sent to: [email protected] will be responded to within 24-48 hours. In the near future, we will be opening an incoming call line for authorized parties, so that questions and issues can be addressed immediately, without having to make an appointment to talk to the homeowner's Relationship Manager, or go through the escalation team. I look forward to working with this group!

Kathy--you are an angel sent from heaven! Thank you so much for having the courage to post your contact information. I hope you aren't overwhelmed by the response. My staff will be contacting you on Monday! THANK YOU

truly wonderful Kathy - I know we agents can be awful, this is very brave of you to take on our closings ! My team closes 100-130 short sale every year and this is a first from a bank to postr to help!

I'm going through the EXACT same scenario now, only there are 4 liens on my property TWO are JUNIOR and TWO are SENIOR TAX liens.  My junior liens I can easily work out to $6000, but not the tax liens.  How did this work out for you?
