My Realtor put an offer on a home in short sale July 2009.  The short sale dept. tells my Realtor that the file is still "in review."  I need to get a preapproval letter from Bank of America home loans and would like to work with a loan officer/manager/someone with some "pull" who has the ability to call the short sale dept and help get our short sale deal pushed through.  Can someone give me the name, phone number and email address of a loan officer at Bank of America who can get things done?

Jeff, a loan officer (even a Super Star) is not likely to have any "pull" with the loss mitigation department.... the most they can usually do is to get a loss mit negotiator's name (if one has been assigned) and their email address, and that is not rocket science - a 5th grader could get that. So the "pull" and the "push" needs to come from the seller's realtor, or, if all parties agree, you may choose to hire a professional short sale processor/negotiator and pay them a fee to get it done quickly and correctly. If you do that, you want to be very careful and go with a company that has excellent track record, connections, and real results.
Anna is correct. Two totally separate departments with no dialog between them. Trust your agent and the listing agent to get things going. Have a good loan officer for the sake of a good loan officer.
You shoulld talk to a loan officer in yur State. I'm surprised your Realtor cannot help you there. He/She has a fiduciary duty to safeguard yor intereests.
