My seller's house was damaged due to a hurricane. Insurance money went to WF;s Property Loss dept. Buyer wants repairs completed before settlement, short sale is approved, contractor has provided required estimate. WF Property Loss is now holding everything up. Does anyone know where I can escalate this case, so that we can get work completed and get to settlement?

We finally closed this short sale with Wells Fargo as the servicer. We learned that the property loss dept (Insurance Loss) uses faxes, paper files, and no one in charge of any file. Every time the owner called in to find out what was going on, he got a different person who looked at the file for the 1st time and gave a different answer or direction. A 40 foot tree which was removed with a crane was reinspected 2 times. And, even then, the contractor has not been paid. The short sale department is the 100 times better, still it took 2 days to close waiting for the closer to approve the final HUD, and no direct communication at all from the closer, in spite of many requests. I tweeted @Ask_WellsFargo several times throughout the whole process, which may or may not have helped.
good news update on this-I was wondering how it turned out!
