How to Postpone an Aurora Foreclosure Sale? Help!
Hello All,
Our office has been working on an Aurora short sale for some time. It had been approved but the original buyer walked. Surprisingly, it took a while to find a new buyer. Now that we have one in place at the previously approved price, the foreclosure sale date is scheduled for tomorrow, 4/19. So far, our efforts to have it postponed have fallen on deaf ears.
We have gone as far up the Aurora chain of command as we have access and have also pressed on the foreclosing law firm to postpone the sale. We will of course continue to press tomorrow, but we are looking for any good contacts at Aurora who may be able to help us postpone.

Chris, do you know who the investor is on the note? I've been able to go around the servicer/lender and get sales postponed on both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac backed loans by going straight to them. If you've got a Fannie or Freddie backed loan - that will work for you too!

It is a Freddie Mac loan but we have had no luck convincing them either. We will try again though!

Kent, how have you been able to go straight to Fannie or Freddie? We are having numerous problems with promissory note requests from Freddie and want to complain to someone about it. Any help would be appreciated!!

Ask them, in writing, to provide you with an original copy of the mortgage note.
Legally, they need to provide you with one.
I don't believe that Aurora is a direct lender, so it will take an effort to provide you with one. -
