Good morning Superstars. Here's a comment that I received from an employee of Bank of America. I think it sums up some of the frustration that we all go through at times. I will keep the comment anonymous and it has been edited for grammar.

Here goes:

"I have sat here and read through all of these messages and I am at a loss for words. I currently work as a supervisor in the short sale department for Bank of America. And YES I hate my job. I hate having to get on the phone with these homeowners and agents and explain to them that I do not have the authority to submit a same day postponement for a foreclosure. Nor do I have any more contact with their negotiator than they do.

My first week on this job had me in tears. I was on the phone with an Attorney who was trying to stop a foreclosure sale and in the background I was listening to the homeowner and her children crying. It is hard and some days I leave out of work in the worst mood. EVERY DAY I attempt to make some sort of contact with corporate to get some answers from someone. But just like the rest of you, my questions and calls go unanswered." END

I posted this to remind all of us that most of the folks we speak with at the lenders/servicers are just doing their jobs. They are overwhelmed with files and calls and there is only so much they can do.

As hard as it is sometimes, we must try to remember that these folks also have families and could very well be experiencing financial hardships just as the homeowners we are working for are. Show them some respect. Be kind. Maybe...... just maybe you'll get a better response. OK?

Good reminder Bryant.  The day that I learned how to talk to these negotiators in a calm and caring tone, my life got better and my short sales get approved much quicker.

Same here - some of these folks can barely function on a personal level due to the overwhelming emotion of almost  everyone on the other end of their phone.  Their job stinks - I wouldn't want it.  

I made a decision some time ago to be as kind as I could be and maybe - just maybe - I could be a bright light in their day.  It is amazing the difficulties they are having as individuals as well as our colleagues and our clients.

Brian:  Thanks for reminding us that these people are "people just like us".  I flipped out only one time a year and a half ago.  It was not w/a super or negotiator but with a Freddie rep.  Long story but anyway after that I found my chill pill.  I do know that they are hard working.  This site has provided me the tools to dig deeper and the support system that I needed.  Thanks a "gillion" to all of you Realtors out there who pour your heart out and care so much about our clients that you spend countless hours doing this job.  It's not for the paycheck or we would not be here.  Even though it seems like our market is evening out and there are not so many short sales we are needed more than ever.  People are upside down here in Arizona and Nevada more than anywhere else in the nation and they need our professional advise and of course the advise of our trusted business partners - kudos to our attorney and accounting partners too!!  In conclusion I plan on taking this course to enable myself to help more people move on with their lives, make a sound financial decision and start living again.  Thanks again to all of you!!
