Has anybody been getting this from BOA lately.  I have two files initaited in Equator and close to being approved.  Then all of a sudden I am told that there is a "litigation code" on the file and they are not authorized to speak with me until the litigation department authorizes them to do so...despite having my third party authorization uploaded in the file.

Anyone know what the heck this means?

Michael, Sometimes it means there is an attorney who has contacted BOFA on the seller's behalf. I did have that happen on one of my files. We had the attorney contact BOFA to allow communication with me.  Check with your seller.

Here is the funny thing...I AM THE ATTORNEY HANDLING THE FORECLOSURE DEFENSE...

I have pointed that out to them several times.

LOL!! I cannot believe it. Do you think the seller had another attorney before you, Michael? Or maybe because it IS YOU!???  :)

Nope.   I am now writing a letter to the foreclosure attorney for BOA telling him that I authorize BOA to talk to me.

So stupid.

:) Crazy, indeed!

OMG.  I would have said exactly what Wendy did...If you're the attorney, then it makes NO sense.

An example of check-the-block mentality gone awry.
