Do you want to know if the negotiator actually got and open your email and attachments?

I just submitted a new short sale package to AHMSI and after 4 days of faxing and everyone saying they didn't have it, I overnighted a hard copy and sent it to a different fax number.

They finally got it and I was told a negotiator would be assigned.

I called the next day to find out my negotiators name, only they wouldn't let me talk to him.  There was an auction date in the next week 1/2 on the property so needless to say I was anxious.  I had to also submit a 4506-T form and profit and loss statement (even though they hadn't asked for it yet) --just trying to be proactive.

I signed on for a membership for pointofmail.com - It tracks the email, when it's opened, if the attachment is opened etc., and reports it to you.  I don't work for them but I was PSYCHED with what I saw.  I sent the email to the negotiator yesterday based on the [email protected] extension (I just finished another short sale with them) and used the pointofmail.com service

Today I logged on and saw when he opened my email and if he opened the attachements.  It was awesome.  I called into customer service and again they wouldn't transfer me but I was told the auction was cancelled!!!!!  SWEEET!!  One hurdle down and a bazillion others to go.

I really like I can see when they open the mail and the attachments.

Just thought I'd share.

Oh and I sent him a follow up email thanking him for helping to facilitate the stop of the auction, which he opened!!! :)

Oh that is very cool... I may have to look into thet my negotiator with OWB never responds to my e-mails but likewise makes notations on my file when I e-mail her.
I just signed up, THANKS for the tip!!! This could be the most useful tool in our tool box.
It doesn't require the recipient's permission to send a read receipt, like outlook?
Hi Wendy,

No...it's nothing like read receipt. The recipient has NO idea you are tracking the email. It shows you when they got it, if they opened it, and if they opened an attachment and logs it. I THINK it will even track if they've forwarded it, but don't quote me on that last one. I JUST signed up last week. I had an AHMSI short sale with an auction date that I was having major trouble getting faxed in and I even overnighted it. Once it was finally assigned to negotiations I wanted to make sure any follow up paperwork I sent was getting to him, so I signed up for the service. It was great.

I'll likely only be using it for emails to negotiators, but it is great if I need to use it for anyone else I suppose too.
I signed up for the cheapest plan, so I don't want to waste the emails if not necessary.
BTW it is official.... none of my negotiators have opened my e-mails from yesterday. This software is awesome.. But depressing:)
Bummer. That stinks. I've only used it so for for the AHMSI negotiator but he didn't open it for a day.
