I have an FHA short sale with a non-occupying co-borrower that does not want to participate in the short sale. I know that for a loan modification a quit claim deed is all the servicer needs, but the negotiator is saying everyone on the loan must provide documents for a short sale. Has anyone found a way to get past this?

Unfortunately all borrowers on the loan will need to cooperate in order to complete a short sale.
A non cooperating party on the loan is one of the quickest ways for a short sale not to get done.
