Hi. I'm new here. :)

My question is what happens next, after the realtor enters my 1st 5 SSN digits, address, etc into Equator? How long does the process take? She told me Apr. 7th that they wanted to close on or before May 5th, which is not possible now since I have the 14 days due diligence. (I assume is standard, I'm a first time buyer.) I am also a cash buyer, if that helps with anything.

I'm just confused and hoping there is an end in sight!

thanks in advance!

I cannot tell from your email where you are in the process.
The SSN is used when an offer has been countered and your agent is entered data for the negotiator.
Your contingencies must still be in place for you to do inspections.
Has she submitted the acceptance of the counter? Did she get the additional documents for you to sign yet?

If you are this far along, she should be able to answer all of your questions. If she cannot, have her get onto this blog and we can help her......but we cannot get between you and your Realtor.
My realtor just told me that the 1st bank accepted and they have the official paper and the 2nd bank verbally accepted, but we are waiting for the paper from them.

I just want this to be over already. :( Started this Feb 17th and thought I was at least close to the end.
From Feb 17th until now, that seems like a long time, but in the grand schem of short sales, it is not.
You are probably very close, but check with your agent. She should be able to answer all your questoins.
If she is using Equator, it tends to make the process much easier and faster.

good luck
Thanks so much! That brought my hopes back up! He said it's close, so we'll see how close. :)
