Advice on a past short salde

Hi i was hoping some one can help me out. I sold my property on a short sale last year march 2011. I was waiting for the bank to issue me a 1099 c but i did not get one. should i contact the back and ask for one or should i just leave it alone. i don"t want them comeing back at me later. People have told me just to leave it be . THe loan on my credit score says that it is Closed, If anyone can help it would be great. THe bank is 53rd

i guarantee the bank sent one to the IRS, so I'd definitely alert your accountant.
