Here is a new one. Got a call last night saying that the negotiator was dealing direct w/borrower this am and she (negotiator) was just calling to let me know. I have never encoutnered this before. Has anyne here? Is this "normal" SunTrust procedure?

Does anyone have a back door contact for Suntrust? I have been dealing with Julian Jones there and I get "party line" everytime I call. We have been waiting over 75 days now and forget escalation , that has been requested mulitple times w/no response. Yesterday this woman informed me there are only 5 people in the SS dept and it would be looked at when she got to it.

I am with Richard - Suntrust should just say they don't do SS's

We have completed Suntrust short sales but my take is that they would be better to just say we don't do short sales than "process" them the way they do. My opinion has always been, "if you are going to say you are doing something, then be prepared to do it". Suntrust is SOOO disorganized and SOOO slow on short sales that it would be better for them (and us) if they just said - "We don't do Short Sales". At least then we would all know where we stand.

I haven't completed any SunTrust Short Sales and it was so nice to come to ShortSaleSuperstars to check on my needed Short Sale documentation/phone numbers. Thanks again Bryant and Wendy. It's great to have access to trusted info.

Has anybody had the experience of working on one with Suntrust when the debt has been discharged in bankruptcy? I'm not certain if this would go to the normal short sale department or maybe a bankruptcy department? Doesn't make sense to me for seller to submit financials when there is no remaining obligation for the debt. Thoughts?

Teresa--I know that Wells Fargo is the trustee for a lot of pooled MBSs that were jumbos originated by and being serviced by Suntrust. You could always say to the CS, "Wells Fargo is the investor, right?" That's worked for me. :-)

SunTrust stonewalling? Have a cash offer in place since December. Assigned to a processor. Multiple phone calls over the last few weeks regarding escalation have gotten the same response "the supervisor will get back to you within 48 hours" and of course no one calls back. Last SunTrust short sale did not take this long and it had two loans. This one only one. Anyone have a backdoor that has worked?

So far, so good. Sent in my 80pg packet on Monday (email and one fax) and Tuesday (aletrnate fax) - and today (Wed) SunTrust confirmed receipt and I have tha name of a "processor" who is working on the file. Keeping my fingers crossed. This home has been on the market 1200days (only 90 w/me) we have a very strong buyer, and the foreclosure date is April 6. Really playing beat the clock.
