So apparently the MetLife Loss Mitigation Dept is lost in the Dark Ages. No one there has any idea how to work a fax machine and they've never heard of a PDF. Being such, they have asked me to SNAIL MAIL them the entire hardship package complete with purchase contract, SERIOUSLY?!?!?! (am I being punked?)

I just got the approval yesterday from MetLife, formally First Horizon. Once the negotiator got all the docs, it took 32 calender days.

Heads up that Metlife just sold a large pool of servicing loans to IBM LBPS or Lender Business Process Services. 866-570-5277IBM LBPS.pdf

I'd like to see a copy of a Metlife approval letter if possible. I've got a file that I will be submitting to them and want to prepare my client, who is an attorney unfortunatley. Just want to see if there is any verbage about deficiency judgements and or promissory notes...etc...etc.... Thanks

I am sorry about not answering your question. MetLife gave us approval in about 10 wks.

It took us about 15 wks to close. One of the biggest hold ups was the second mortgage holder.

Hi Lamana,
Quick question, from start to finish how long did it take MetLife to issue Short Sale Approval from time of submission.
Comment by Lamanda Jones on November 25, 2009 at 3:13am
We closed!!!! This is one that was quite a learning process.

Well, (deep subject), we should be closing the Met Life short sale today. One piece of advice...WATCH YOUR HUDS. The last one that we submitted was missing the closing cost. (An oversight of the title company.) We did not catch it and sent it on the negotiator. He quickly approved it. We had submitted 3 previously that were correct. Met Life is holding us to the last one without the closing cost in the final figure. Could lose buyer, seller is closer to foreclosure. I think that we get so caught up resending what we feel is the same old thing that we forget to cross the "T'.

Hi Lamanda. Thanks for adding this group. Do you have any contact numbers? Any special documents that they require that can be shared? If so add them in the group info or use the text box where documents can be uploaded. This would help us all out. Thanks
