Hello, I have the same question as Sharon Jones. I have a SS that we are going to loose the buyer on and we can't get any to expedite it or speak with the negotiator. Any suggestions.

I have a short sale with Aurora Loans currently. I have had an offer to Aurora since July. We were finally approved in Jan, but the buyer had walked. Found a new buyer in days and resubmitted a new offer (same dollar amounts) Jan 25.

According to Aurora loans, they are overwhelmed with files and the soonest the file can be reviewed is May 15th. That's just reviewed.... not approved.

Any suggestions????

I had a SS approved by Aurora in about 45 days a few months ago. It was a very smooth process with them. There was a delay in getting a response once BPOs were completed took them about 2 weeks to review and get back to me. Otherwise, they probably would have approved in about 30 days.

They might be nice Katharine but the circumstances still suck. Feel sorry for you and you client. ;-(

Aurora was one of the friendliest lenders I've spoken with until the very end. Even then, they were very friendly while telling me there is nothing they can do - the house is going to auction.

They made a mistake on the file (kept it in a loan mod template rather than switching it over to a short sale template) and due to the several month delay this caused, Freddie Mac refused to postpone title one last time to allow the transaction to close. The house went to auction, and all Aurora could say was "super sorry for my mistake".

thanks. I'll keep you posted.
