Any luck bypassing collection agency and going straight to HSBC to escalate?

I have a Freddie Mac first and they will only authorize $6k to second and will not allow any other contributions. HSBC is demanding $9500 and has rejected the short sale offer through their collection agency. I want to go straight to HSBC. Any suggestions?
