Can I do a short sale with an Indy mac loan after the sherrif's sale?

The customer service people say no, they wont work on our offer, is there someone else I can call? Or am I done?  Thank you for your input...

You're done, the seller no longer has title and therefore no longer has the right to sell or engage your services for the sale of the property.  The only way you can get it back into a short sale is to have the foreclosure auction rescinded; to do that will require a huge effort on your part, and the possible assistance of an attorney.  If the foreclosure was wrongful you have a chance... otherwise... so sorry... you are done...

Forget it, in CA abolutely not, they are hard enough to work with and they have very trict rules about their time frames for workout solutions

Could be states are different?  I have closed properties in the redemption period (six months after sheriffs sale ) in MN with GMAC..and one other lender..been a couple years though
