Hi Wells Fargo SS Group,

We need your help with really good escalation contacts for a VA Short Sale. Our serviceman is deployed to Saudia Arabia.  We have been at it for 90 days.  Appraisal was back from VA approx 45 days ago.  All financials have been updated in Equator as negotiator requested.  Now we hear nothing; cant get a response from our negotiator or his supervisor.  The buyer is ready to walk now.  Our seller and his wife have to be in Florida Oct 1st right when he gets back from overseas. Your responses are appreciated!  Pam

Pam -

Go to the local Congressperson for the District where the property is located.  My understanding is they have direct lender contacts who they will reach out to and who will take action especially for service members.

We all tend to forget about our Congresspeople (including me) but a client of mine who was getting the runaround went to her congressperson and her lack of response from the lender got resolved within a couple of days.  The lenders' people were "all over it" once they got that call.

Good luck!

I help agents all over the country if you ever want to work together, but, I think you just need a good e-mail with this subject line:

"Is this how VHDA treats our service-members?"

with a "cc" to a few local media persons and you should spark some response.

E_mail me at [email protected] and i will give you a few of our VHDA contacts as well.

Sounds like you are just dealing with a lower level negotiator with no authority to make things happen.

From Thom - I have never had much luck with congresspersons, attorney generals, or even senators unless there has been blatant disregard for requests or something really crazy happening.....

They generally seem to send a letter or two to "appease us" then it ends there......

One GREAT place to file complaints - OTS or OCC (too much to get into here, BUT, they actually over-see the bank Servicers and can be VERY effective if you contact them directly, again, contact me or Google those).

Best of luck....KEEP FIGHTING FOR YOUR HOMEOWNERS!!!!

If you are having trouble with your short sales - CALL ME

If you are NOT having trouble with your short sales - CALL ME AND TELL ME HOW YOU DO IT!!!

Sincerely,

Ben Benita

Ben, does OCC still do anything? I thought I read somewhere that they are now just the typical lapdog of the bank at this point.
