Let us know if you can actually do it. BofA is huge. They sell notes (processing) in bulk. I can't see them selling 1 note. Actually, you need to go to the investor - BofA services the note, doesn't own it. I suspect that they would see that as way more trouble than it is worth to them. Likely, the best contact for you would be someone who buys notes all the time and can give you pointers on how to twist arms to get the deal done.
Ellen, their Twitter team won't know anything about it. Those loans from BOA are owned by several different investors. BOA won't sell individual note to an individual. They will be purchased by BIG BOYS in bulk loans. Recently, BOA has sold much of the loans to Ocwen. The only way you can do note deal is thru local regional bank not thru federal charterd bank. I've purchased one commercial note from PNC recently. Sometimes banks do the loan sales only if you know where to contact. Let me know how your note deal goes.
I thank you and Joe for your help. I will see what I can find out. I believe I can find out who really owns the note. I will try another post after I find whatever information I can get.
