Equator not recognizing loan # to start a Short Sale on the site

Hi All, I've done other short sales on Equator and not had this problem:

When I took the listing the seller of course gave me his loan number and authorization.  I knew based on the loan # 185xxxxxx that he gave that this was an old number.  I know BofA went through a conversion and I asked the seller to get the new number from the bank.  He called and was told that this was the current number!  Unfortunately, when I go to initiate it on Equator it says the loan number doesn't match the sellers last name... Anyone experience this?  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Call BofA
I've had that issue with one of my short sales. Make sure you input the last name exactly as it appears on the loan statement including dashes if any. Also, make sure the account number is a 9 digit #, before the conversion BOA mortgage accounts had 10 #s.

If that still doesn't work you can call BOA and ask them to initiate the sale and assign it to you.

Hope this helps.
