I have a short sale thru Equator with B of A at the last stages.  BPO was done, offer was countered and was told by negotiator the file will be reviewed by manager.

I called to check on updates and the task of reviewing the offer was due 2-24.  I asked for it to be escalated.  Meanwhile I found out that the people/dept responsible for reviewing the offer is SVP team (Senior Vice Presideent).

We are starting to get in panic mode because the trustee sale date is 3-3 and I emailed negotiator 2-25 to request for postponement.  He acknowledged and sent in the request.  2-26 5pm (today) still not postponed.

I emailed negotiator again thru Equator and found that I could also email SVP and VP.  So I tried it and it showed that my message was sent to neogtiator and also 2 other email addresses!  Assuming it might be someone up there...

Just wondering if anyone else has tried to play with some buttons and was successful?  Please share your stories...thanks!

Just an update, whatever I did worked. The negotiator emailed us back today on a Saturday to let us know that the postponement request was sent in to the foreclosure dept even though the system says it is set for 3-3. Response on a SATURDAY! Amazing!
My experience with BofA is that they want you to call in two to three days before the sale and request postponement to the sale date. Glad to hear you were able to get the sale postponed. I for one would not have thought it was cause for alarm (panic mode) with a week to go before the sale. A day before I may panic and then again we have to understand that it is up to the discretion of BofA to postpone the sale. For example, last year I asked for and received a postponement 1 hour before the scheduled sale.

I have not had an opportunity or need to use the escalation emails on equator as of yet but nice to know they work.

The following is what I believe Elaine is indicating:

and the full version:

Thanks for sharing Sam, the sale is postponed, I have an acceptance BUT...they want a 40k prom note to go with it :( Another hurdle to go through
Yikes - never like when they want a promissory note. :(

Although they may have sent word to the trustee to postpone the sale, you may not actually get confirmation for as much as 48-72hrs after that auction date. I know it's stressful but I've been through this before, well, with Countrywide.

At this stage do NOT rely on Equator & the email system. CALL In repeatedly until you get an answer that the auction WILL be postponed.
Thanks Emily, and I did call many times and talked to the collections dept. It was postponed for another month and it showed on www.fidelityasap.com as well.
I did not realize that the LPS Agency Sales & Posting website at www.fidelityasap.com had info on the sales. I always use BofA's site at http://www.recontrust.com/index.aspx

Thanks for the info
I find fidelityasap to be most updated but for Wells Fargo ones it doesn't show up
Are you in California? Is your deal a primary residence for your client or are you working with an investor & they're asking for $40K?

I am in CA and it was a primary. Problem is thru Equator there is no one to get thru to besides emailing the negotiator who is not responding on the issue at all.
You need to get in touch with SVP's outside of Equator. Don't let Equator box you in.
Be as squeaky of a wheel as you can be and get the grease!

hi Elaine, i was under negotiating, now im back in to Held status? when i call equator they tell me its in it final approval, they mentioned who has the file and gave me his email address and phone #. I called him, but was not successful. i did send an email to the SVT and the negotiator but no response. they had a task due back on Feb.24th, whwn the equator crew suggests to escalate, they also mention it could take longer? Don't know what to do?
