I have short sale approval from Aurora (1st) which clearly states what SLS (2nd - servicer) can receive. SLS is requiring a payment in order to issue a short sale approval letter matching the amount that Aurora has allowed. SLS isn't willing to budge. Aurora's letter is now due to expire in 3 days and will not extend without the SLS approval letter that doesn't include the contribution (payment is what SLS calls it over the phone). I have an approval letter from SLS, but calls for the $1500 payment ('in certified funds from a source designated by you prior to the closing.") If we assist in this payment, we are not following the first liendholder's (Aurora) terms of their short sale approval.
Does anyone know of a contact person at SLS beyond a "manager" that keeps telling me that the first liendholder cannot dictate a seller making a payment to them?
Thank you!
