ANyone have success with IndyMac and HAFA. Indymac sent my client a solicitation to HAFA in early November. Client responded YES but a couple of days late. Now we are up against the foreclosure sale date this week. Anyone have any experience or success here?

I went through something similar at BOA .  Client didn't respond to HAFA and once foreclosure date was set they were ineligible for HAFA short sale.  I did traditional, and things are looking good, but I don't know if that is a BOA rule or all  servicer rule.  I believe the homeowner has 10 days to respond and then they close the program out.  I think as long as no auction date is set, you can still pursue HAFA but once a dat is set you're stuck with Traditional short sale.  someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I've asked one of the HAFA servicers at B of A to request a longer foreclosure extension so that we might reinitiate into HAFA. That may be a possible workaround to the denial of HAFA sale due to a foreclosure sale date.  We'll see if it works. Aloha...
Ron,  Were you able to move ahead with the HAFA short sale with IndyMac or did the home go to foreclosure?
