I get tons of emails everyday about short sale issues, negotiators not working with the agent, lost paperwork or simply getting told NO.  Here is my take on this...

The short sale departments first reactions are always NO, we can not do that.  No, the seller needs to be 90 days late, no the investor will not allow that.

I have a simple solution for this if you are one of the millions being told no..................

Stay on the phone, or find the email of someone who can say YES.   Sounds simple, sound stupid but keep in mind that if someone continues to tell you NO, it is simply because they are not allowed or do not have the authority to say YES.

Keep telling me NO, I am going to escalate to someone who can say YES!  Try it, it works :)

I support that! :-) AN D it works!!!
yes it does. Many of the people we deal with can not tell us yes, even if they wanted to
dead on.....I gave a presentation yesetrday to one of the realtor associations ehre in Virginia.....
I ALWAYS remind them:

THE PEOPLE WITH DEAL WITH IN LOSS MITIGTION ARE CALLED "NEGOTIATORS" FOR A REASON!!!!

Do you REALLY expect someone, whose job title is "negotiator", to just fall over and give you what you want?

As Jeff notes, push back, try telling THEM no and excalating to the person that can say yes!!!!
Emailing the CEO and corporate executives is another good way of getting a yes! :)
Pam, you are correct, sometimes those up in the ivory tower need to know what is going on! CEO escalations should be in every agents playbook.
