From Chase to Freddie - How long does it normally take?

Recently I was told that the Chase Negotiator had sent the paperwork on to Freddie for approval. How long does it normally take to hear back from Freddie?  Is there anything I need to do? The only time I would ever get answers from the Chase Negotiator was when I called Executive Resolution, is there anyone at Freddie I can call to check on the status of my file?  With Chase sending the file along, does that mean I have approval from Chase for the Short Sale. I have not received any type of letter from them. Thanks..

I am having the same problem with our "negotiator", Heather Held.  When I call Executive Resolution, I get action but she still won't call me.  She calls the seller directly. She refuses to contact me because she's P***ed I called corporate on her. Buuuut...if she had just talked to me in the first place, I wouldn't have to keep calling Executive Resolution!!!

I am dealing with the same problem.  The file has been with Freddie for about three weeks now and I am afraid that my buyer may walk.  The negoiator calls me back  but he doesn't have a clue to when we might hear a response.  The negoiator seems like he is willing to help.  Any suggestions?????

I am the seller..  It took just over 3 weeks to hear back from Freddie. My problem was not Freddie, it was the 3 months it took for Chase to give the go ahead to the file.

The Chase Negoiator called my Realtor to say that we recieved an approvel. In the mean time the buyer's Realtor was not returning emails to my Realtor or phone calls. After approval my Realtor sent the buyer's Realtor a note about approval only to get a return email saying the buyer is in Europe and that it was to expensive to call her. When I heard that I flipped...  Two days later, we were told the buyer was no longer interested. The contract had expired due to the time it took for approvals from Chase and Freddie. We are now back on the market and hoping for a better result. This time I am going to push my Realtor for a back up contract in the event we get a first contract..  Moral of the story - due to the lenght of the process, don't stop showing the property. I read something on this site about the second contract being the one that sticks with short sales. At this point I hope that is correct...  Good luck...

I thought that once it moved from Chase, it was approve and they now need approval from the investor.  It is going on three weeks so I hope they let us know something soon.  My buyer is an investor but he is getting inpatient.  If anyone knows how to contact Freddie I sure would like to know.
